Seat 1C, First Class cabin of Singapore Airlines flight SQ 377
The fact that we are currently on the plane and waiting to take off is almost a miracle. The morning started off all right. We woke up earlier and had a proper breakfast at the hotel. I liked the super-burnt mushrooms and super-salty ham; together they tasted quite good.

Breakfast over, we asked the guy at the reception counter if the San Siro was nearby. He said it was a 15 min walk away, then produced a large map and circled directions.
We left the hotel and, as usual, it wasn't long before we were lost. The first people we asked only spoke Italian so that didn't help at all, but finally we were pointed in the right direction.
A long walk down a straight road later, the trees thinned out and we saw the San Siro in the distance.
The San Siro, by the way, is the stadium shared by both AC Milan and Inter Milan. Surprisingly, the area around it was almost completely empty.

Then we realised that, once again, we had approached a stadium from the back. Unfortunately, this time we were in a hurry to get back to the hotel, check out and leave for the airport, so we just snapped a few pictures - we couldn't even find a sign on the building with "San Siro" on it! - and rushed back the way we came.

There was a tram at the stadium but we didn't have tickets, and there were no buses or taxis in sight.
We continued walking, wondering if we would make it back on time, but finally we managed to get a taxi and sped to the hotel. There, we checked out and immediately took another taxi to the central train station.
After purchasing bus tickets, we had a little trouble finding the airport-bound bus, but finally we were safely on our way to the airport.
A neverending bus trip later, I awoke to find everyone getting ready to disembark. Once we were indoors again, however, we discovered that we had gotten off at the wrong terminal and the right one was some distance away!
The bus had conveniently left by this time and the next would arrive in another half an hour, but thankfully there was a free airport shuttle.
Finally at the correct terminal, we set about trying to claim our tax refund on the Gucci wallet - which ended in a lot of grumbling as we were directed from one refund counter to the next, before ending up at the customs office in the boarding area.
I had very little time after that to grab some keychains, and it wasn't until the last minute that I realised the only keychains on sale in the airport were in a small jar at the newsagent.
Then came a mad dash to our boarding gate - I think we were one of the last people to board - and finally, we could settle down and relax.
